Round Square University of Oxford Trip
Over the holidays, 12 Redlands students took part in Round Square’s Inspiring Voices: The Big Baraza at the University of Oxford, joining 400 students from 46 schools around the world. They debated at the renowned Oxford Union, delivered powerful speeches and showed leadership, resilience and teamwork throughout the trip.
Chloe (Yr 10) shared her reflections on the trip:
“The baraza discussions challenged my way of thinking, and I am so grateful to have learnt from internationally minded individuals. Personally, one of the most interesting topics was discussing if climate concerns are a first world privilege.”
Zara (Yr 11):
“I was incredibly inspired by the diversity of people I met throughout the week. Never before have I encountered such a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds all brought together in one place.”
Soraya (Yr 10):
“The connections I have formed with my fellow peers are indestructible… The enthusiasm, optimism, and compassion of the Round Square community was truly moving, and memorable!”
