Australian Education Awards 2025
We’re proud to share that Redlands has been shortlisted as Excellence Awardees, or finalists, in four different categories of the 2025 Australian Education Awards.
The annual Australian Education Awards is a leading independent national awards program in the K-12 education sector across Australian government and non-government schools. These awards showcase the top-performing schools, programs and individuals for their outstanding achievements and transformative work that makes a profound difference to the lives of young people across the country.
Last year we submitted applications for two categories and were successful in becoming an Excellence Awardee in the Innovation in Curriculum Design Category, highlighting the exceptional Innovation and Entrepreneurial Learning program we have developed.
This year we submitted applications in five categories and have been shortlisted as Excellence Awardees in four of these five categories, joining only two other independent schools across the country in earning this number of Excellence Awardees.
Our Excellence Awardees, and national category finalists, are:
- Primary School Teacher of the Year – Non-Government – Nathan Stubbs
- Secondary School Teacher of the Year – Non-Government – Rachael Riley
- Best Student Wellbeing Program
- Best Professional Learning Program
It is wonderful to be recognised in these respective areas illustrating our well-regarded P-12 Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program supporting students; our leading Professional Learning program supporting staff development; and two individual teachers who are representative of our many outstanding classroom practitioners across the School.
This external recognition only further affirms our belief that our people, programs and initiatives are leading the way in their respective areas, with many of those that have not been specifically recognised in these award categories also being acknowledged and sought out to present and share innovative and best practice approaches at national and international conferences.
While humility is a strength of ours at Redlands, we are also so proud of the individual and collective efforts and achievements that both highlight and extend our reputation as a leading independent school in Australia.
