The Concourse, Chatswood came alive with music, storytelling and outstanding student performances as Redlands presented its annual Sound of Stories Senior Music Festival.

This year’s festival was the biggest in Redlands history, with almost 250 students taking to the stage in a celebration of music, creativity and collaboration. Students from Years 7 to 12 performed a diverse program inspired by stories from film, television, musicals, video games, opera and ballet, demonstrating the breadth of talent within the school’s co-curricular music program.

The evening featured performances from Redlands senior co-curricular ensembles, winners of the Music Performance Competition and Battle of the Bands, auditioned soloists and small groups, and a memorable finale from the Year 12 Class of 2026.

Hosted at The Concourse in Chatswood, the festival brought together students, staff, families and the wider Redlands community for an inspiring evening celebrating the performing arts. Behind every performance was months of dedication from students, graduating student hosts, more than 30 staff members and Friends of Music, whose support helped bring the creative vision to life.

The Senior Music Festival is a highlight of the Redlands performing arts calendar, providing students with the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre, build confidence and share their talents with the community. It reflects Redlands’ commitment to developing confident, creative and collaborative young people through a rich co-curricular program.
