About the
Redlands Cup
The Redlands Cup has been the traditional curtain raiser to the Sydney Snowsports Race Week. It is consistently the largest single day snowsports event in Australia with around 500 competitors regularly taking part in skiing and snowboard races.
The age of the competitors ranges from Preschool to Year 12, and whether they be snaking snowploughers or speeding schussers, the emphasis is always about fun!
Sponsors and Partners
The success of the Redlands Cup hinges on the generous support of our sponsors and partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have collaborated with us to transform this event into a vibrant celebration. Kindly show your support to our sponsors, whose contributions have been instrumental in continuing the running of this event.
History of the Cup
Easily the largest single day event in Australia, the Redlands Cup brings together more than 500 competitors from over 30 schools across New South Wales and the ACT to the challenging runs of Thredbo. The Redlands Cup serves as a lead-in event to the Sydney Division Interschools and prepares school skiers and snowboarders for the race season. This ultimately helps competitors improve their times for upcoming State and Nationals events.
Event Location & Contacts
On the day of The Redlands Cup, the Redlands tent is located at the base of the Snowgums Chairlift around Valley Terminal ticket office. Generally, all races will be conducted on this side of the mountain on the Rossignol, Nasstar & World Cup race courses. Access to the course is easy via the Snowgums and Kosciuszko Chair Lifts. Course inspections are usually at 8.15am and race starting time is 9.00am sharp.

The Redlands Cup is proud to have held the races for 21 uninterrupted years on the testing Thredbo courses until 2020. With 2 years without any racing, Redlands Cup returned in 2022 and 2023. Usually there are 3 courses which are generally set according to divisions: the teenagers get tested a little more than the prep schoolers.
