About Redlands

Established in 1884, Redlands is a Preschool to Year 12 coeducational school, situated in Cremorne on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. Our dynamic learning environment inspires academic achievement and confidence for life.

Redlands students receive an outstanding academic education as a result of the School’s individual approach, exceptional teachers and world-class learning programs and resources. Students from over 30 different nationalities work together within an inclusive, real world, coeducational environment, complemented by a comprehensive leadership and service program, to develop the knowledge, capability and confidence to let their lights shine – at school and beyond.

Principal's Welcome

For nearly 140 years Redlands has provided an independent education to generations of young Australians. Our dynamic, inclusive and nurturing learning environment offers a contemporary real world education which inspires academic excellence and confidence for life. The diversity of opportunities at Redlands recognises the diverse nature of our students and aims to prepare them for future roles as outstanding citizens who will make a contribution to their local, national and international communities.

Our coeducational learning environment fosters mutual respect between boys and girls. In learning together, both within and beyond the classroom, our students share a diversity of ideas and experiences to broaden their perspectives, enhance their academic performance and gain experience of leading both genders.

Redlands graduates are prepared to make a natural transition to their tertiary studies and careers, and to embrace the challenges and new opportunities that lie ahead with confidence.

This is Redlands

A Redlands education is coeducational, global and progressive. Offering an extensive range of opportunities for each child to let their light shine, Redlands celebrates the individual student by nurturing them with high calibre educators.

We are not just a school, we are a community. A community that prides ourselves on not only providing a world-class education but also embracing, encouraging and celebrating inclusivity, acceptance and diversity. We recognise the vital relationship between home and school and provide opportunities to actively involve parents in the School.

The School Motto

The School Motto is Luceat Lux Vestra – Let Your Light Shine. This phrase is taken from The Sermon on the Mount – ‘Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.’  Matthew 5:16 NIV.

We aim to provide extensive opportunities to enable each student’s light to shine and to foster the light in those around them and those who need support.
