Chief Justice Helen Murrell was appointed as the first female Chief Justice of the ACT Supreme Court in 2013. Chief Justice Murrell was enrolled as a Solicitor in 1977 and called to the NSW Bar in 1981 before been appointed silk in 1995. She was appointed a NSW District Court judge in 1996 and went on to be President of the NSW Equal Opportunity Tribunal and to set up the first NSW drug court in 1998. Chief Justice Murrell has worked in criminal, administrative, environmental and equity law, and has an ongoing interest in the therapeutic jurisprudence and a strong involvement with judicial education, sitting on the Council of the National Judicial College of Australia.

A leader in the Healthcare Management and Research field, Diana has had an illustrious career in Healthcare Management. In 1993 Diana was made an Officer in the Order of Australia and was awarded the Sax Medal by the Australian Hospital Association. More recently, Diana was awarded a Federation Medal by the Australian Government. She was the first female Chairman of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Commissioner for the Health Insurance Commission, President of the Australian Hospital Association, a member of Trade Policy Advisory Council of Australia and a Board Member of Macquarie University.

Kobe is the Founder and President of Orangutan Foundation International Australia. She was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to conservation and the environment in the Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours List. Since establishing OFI Australia in 2013, Kobe has made it her mission to ensure a home for orangutans and the other endangered species who share their rainforest home, raising over $3.5 million to date to support orangutan conservation and to purchase and save critical orangutan habitat to protect what is left of the ancient rainforests of Borneo. ” I feel so very lucky and privileged to do the work I do and to receive an award for it is incredible! I am so grateful to my many orangutan friends who really did change my life, to my friend and inspiration Dr Birute Mary Galdikas for allowing me to be a part of her world, to all my beautiful friends at the OFI Orangutan Care Centre, to Dr Stephen van Mil for introducing me to Borneo and orangutans in 2008 for which I will be forever grateful, and above all to my darling daughter Kristin. My work is her legacy. I know she sent me to Borneo to help me heal and holds my hand and helps me with my work every single day.”

Janusz has successfully juggled a corporate career with his love for Rowing, that culminated in him winning a Bronze medal as part of the Australian Quadruple Sculls at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In his corporate life, Janusz is the Chairman of the LJ Hooker Limited, and recently launched Atlas by LJ Hooker. He is passionate about Youth Education, co-founding the Foundation for Kids in New York City and the Kids to Coast program in Australia. He is the Co-Chair and Founder of Culture College, based in Arnhem Land, and provides educational programs for visiting students, teachers, professionals and executives in partnership with the Yolngu people. ‘I have learned and grown into a better person and am now able to the world with a more open mind.’ – Year 9 Student, Redlands and Culture College participant.
