Frequently Asked Questions

What do we stand for?
  • From its beginnings as a traditional girl’s school, Redlands has become a robust, co-educational learning environment where we welcome diversity and encourage the interaction and the benefits that come from having a student and parent base that is international in its make up and its inclination.
  • The school has an open entry policy, which means that there are no entrance examinations. Currently there are 1600 students enrolled from Early Childhood to Year 12. Approximately 85% are local children, with the remaining 15% representing expatriate families on assignment in Sydney as well as a number of students studying with the school on a student visa.
  • International students study at Redlands due to its excellent educational reputation as well as offering the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
  • At Redlands we offer choice, because a solid sense of self worth is developed in students when they have the ability to choose programmes, which are designed to identify, develop and enrich their personal attributes and talents. In addition, our rigorous academic and non-academic programmes are designed to test the student's mental and physical boundaries, to develop confidence and leadership capabilities.
  • At Redlands, our goal is for each student to achieve his or her personal best. In offering a broad and balanced education we are giving our students the confidence and the skills to develop their talents and strengths as emotionally intelligent leaders.
