Parent-School Contact Groups

Objective: Opportunity for direct communication between parent and school for areas affecting day to day schooling

The Parent School Contact Groups are sub-committees of the RPFA and exist to provide a direct communication channel between parents and the Heads of the School. Through these Groups parents are able to provide feedback to, and ask questions of, their particular School Head, in relation to issues particular to their child's class/year as well as the day to day operations of the School. Details of meetings and venues are advertised in Note Day or by contacting your School Sections Parent Contact Group Co-ordinator - details on Redlands Pulse.

Class and Year Group Co-ordinators

Objective: Social and community involvement at a class/year group level

The Class and Year Group Co-ordinators are sub-committees of the RPFA and are responsible for organising social and other support functions for their particular class or year group.

In the Secondary School, the Year Group co-ordinators are predominantly involved with organising year group social events, such as cocktail nights and dinners. These are generally casual events and are notified via email and advertised in Note Day.

In the Preparatory and Junior Schools, where the need is greater, there are co-ordinators for each class. These parents also organise social events for their particular classes, but are also closely involved with their class teacher in providing necessary classroom support, as requested.

Details of social and other events are advertised in Note Day, but for more information please contact your Year group or Class co-ordinator - details on Redlands pulse.

Friends of Groups

Objective: Parent involvement in and support for individual co-curricular activities - performing arts and sport

Friends of Groups (FOGs) are sub-committees of the RPFA and are made up of interested parents who support the activities of the MICs in charge of a particular sporting, artistic or community pursuit, such as Rugby, Skiing, Netball, Ballet, Drama and Debating. Each FOG is run as a committee and elects a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

As a rule, FOGs meet monthly during their season. Each term the heads of all of the FOGs meet to discuss issues of common interest with the School Executive.

All parents are welcome to come along and support their child's co-curricular activity via the Friends of Groups. For more information, please see Note Day or contact your FOGs group Co-ordinator - details on Redlands Pulse.
