Redlands Community
The Redlands community of current and past students, parents and teachers is a warm, welcoming and participative community which readily accepts newcomers. It's a very inclusive and collaborative culture where individuality is respected and celebrated.
We recognise the vital relationship between home and school and provide opportunities to actively involve parents in the School..
We are accustomed to embracing international families, extending them a warm welcome and assisting them with their Australian transition.
Parent Involvement
Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Redlands parents and to be involved with the School. Volunteer opportunities include:
Classroom Support
Parents can assist with student reading programs and year group excursions, particulary in the Prep School. Class parents provide valuable support assisting in the coordination of class events, and social outings for students and families.
Event Support
Parents provide assistance to the School in events such as International Day and Grandparents Day; and to the Redlands Parents Association in the coordination of major community events such as the biennial Spring Fair and Redlands Ball.
Canteen and Uniform Shop
Parents can help by outfitting students with their uniforms in the Uniform Shop and serving their lunch requirements at the Murdoch St Canteen.
Friends of Groups (FOGs)
The FOGs add another dimension to Redlands extra-curricular program. Some major sports and co-curricular activities are supported by a FOG. These parents support the Master in Charge (MIC) according to the relevant needs of each group.
The Redlands Parents Association
The Redlands Parents Association's primary objective is to foster the community spirit of the School at all levels.
