Sport
The Junior School sports program is an integral part of the overall education provision of the School. All students are involved in the program and a wide range of sporting activities is provided to cater for individual ability and preferences. Students choose the activities in which they will participate, with both representative and non-representative options being available.
The aim of the Sports program is to promote the skills and qualities that are an inherent part of being in a team. Individual skill development within the framework of a co-operative environment allows a student to understand the value of the individual as part of the whole. This vital life skill can then be transferred to other areas of a students’ involvement.
In addition to weekly physical education classes, students undertake sport one afternoon each week with the focus on training for upcoming carnivals, game sense and teamwork.
