2014 Scholarships
Applications for 2014 Scholarships have now closed.
The Scholarship Exams for all Scholarships for entry into Redlands for 2014 will be held at the School on Saturday 23 February 2013.
In 2014, Redlands is pleased to offer the following Scholarships:
- Academic: Years 7 and 11
- Merit/All-Rounder: Years 7 and 11
- Music: Year 7
- Ballet & Dance: Year 7
Scholarships are available to external students in all categories.
Scholarships are available to currently enrolled students for Year 7.
2014 Academic Scholarships
- 2014 Academic Scholarships will be offered for Years 7 and 11.
- They may be Full or Part Scholarships.
- They are awarded as a result of the ACER CSTP test.
- Examinations are conducted as part of the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP) administered by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) on Saturday 23 February 2013.
2014 Merit/All-Rounder, Music and Ballet/Dance Scholarships
- These scholarships are awarded as a result of the ACER testing and relevant interview/performance/audition.
- Candidates must register for the ACER CSTP test AND complete the relevant Redlands Application Form.
Merit/All-Rounder Scholarships
- 2014 Merit Scholarships will be offered for entry to Years 7 and 11.
- They may be Full or Part Scholarships.
- They are awarded as a result of the ACER test, interview, academic record, participation in sport, the arts and contribution to the wider community (each is evaluated equally).
- Examinations are conducted as part of the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP) administered by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) on Saturday 23 February 2013.
- Applicants must also complete the 2014 Merit/All Rounder Scholarship Application Form or contact the Enrolments Office for an email copy.
Music Scholarships
- 2014 Music Scholarships will be offered for entry to Year 7.
- They may be Full or Part Scholarships.

For 2014, there will be a specific focus on Trumpet and Trombone players who have achieved Grade 5 AMEB or similar; however other instrumentalists and vocalists are also invited to apply.
- They are awarded as a result of the ACER test, interview, performance by invitation in one instrument of choice and results in examinations in music at level of competence.
- Examinations are conducted as part of the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP) administered by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) on Saturday 23 February 2013.
- Applicants must also complete the 2014 Music Scholarship Application Form or contact the Enrolments Office for an email copy.
Ballet & Dance Scholarships
- 2014 Ballet & Dance Scholarships are offered for entry to Year 7.
- They may be Full or Part Scholarships.
- They are awarded as a result of the ACER testing, interview and audition by invitation.
- Examinations are conducted as part of the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP) administered by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) on Saturday 23 February 2013.
- Applicants must also complete the 2014 Ballet & Dance Scholarship Application Form or contact the Enrolments Office for an email copy.
Timeline for 2014 Scholarships
Applications for 2014 have now closed.
Week commencing 18 February 2013: Ballet/Dance auditions/interviews by invitation,9am-12pm Music auditions by invitation, 12pm-4pm
Saturday 23 February 2013: ACER CSTP Test conducted at Redlands, 9am-12pm
March - April 2013: Scholarships offered and candidates notified after 25 March
Scholarship Fees
Australian Applications
- A fee of $110 is paid online for Scholarships.
- The one application fee covers the application fees for all Redlands Scholarships.
Overseas Applications
- A fee of $310 is paid online for Scholarships.
- The one application fee covers the application fees for all Redlands Scholarships.
Closing Dates for Australian and Overseas Applications
- Registrations have now closed.
Scholarship Conditions
1. In all awards the Principal reserves the right to offer portion scholarships or to make no award at all.
2. Scholarships are subject to annual review on the basis of the scholar's performance over the year. Normally scholarships will continue to apply for the stated duration of the scholarship.
3. A scholarship is provided for either full or part remission of tuition fees for the duration of the scholarship.
4. A scholarship does not provide for payment in purchase of books, materials, uniforms and other day to day standard items of school requirement or activity. Costs of excursions and other incidentals are not included. In the case of Lucy Hill Means Tested Scholarships, special consideration in respect of some or all of these additional costs may be granted at the Principal's discretion.
5. Scholarships are not transferable and apply only to the recipient's education.
6. A student who already holds a Redlands Part Scholarship, may not apply again for a scholarship except on a demonstrated "needs" basis.
7. A current Redlands student cannot apply for a scholarship into Year 10 or 11, except on a demonstrated "needs" basis. This will involve means testing.
8. Decisions communicated by the Principal are final. No correspondence will be accepted or entered into.
