Redlands - Let your light shine

ICT and Learning

The two major goals of Redlands ICT platform are:

  • ICT seamlessly integrated into the learning experience to support teaching for understanding
  • Universal access to networked resources from Pre- School to Year 12.

The School provides computers in all classrooms Pre-School - Year 6 for student use; and a plentiful supply of computers available for student research in the Arnold and Roseby libraries, and in the computer labs on both campuses.

Recognising that the most important relationship is the one between teacher and students, and that examinations today still submitted via handwriting, ICT Is used as an aid to the educational process. Therefore, the use of personal laptops is entirely optional and currently used by approximately 20% of students in Years 9-12.  For the majority of Secondary School students, USB thumb drives provide a convenient method of transferring online files between school and home.
