2008 HSC/IB Results

We would like to congratulate all Year 12 2008 students upon their results in the HSC and IB examinations. Key highlights are as follows:

  • A total of 150 students sat for HSC and IB - 114 HSC and 36 IB
  •  9 students achieved UAI equivalent of over 98
  • 18 students achieved UAI equivalent of over 95
  • 41 students achieved UAI equivalent of over 90

Specific IB Results

  • 31 Diplomas awarded
  • 37 Grades 7/A awarded - the highest grade in IB
  • 14% of students achieved a UAR evuivalent of over 98
  • Highest IB score - 44 out of 45 (UAR equivalent of 99.9)
  • 2 students were awarded rare bi-lingual diplomas - in Japanese and Swedish
  • Average score equivalent to a UAR of 92.9

Specific HSC Results

  • 76 nominations for the Honours List for achieving over 90 in an individual subject
  • 4% of students achieved a UAI of over 98
  • Highest HSC Score - UAI 99.5
  • One student made the HSC Honour All-Rounders LIst for achieving over 90 in 10 units
  • Three Top 10 places in the State:
    • 1st in Japanese Background Speakers
    • 5th in Hungarian Continuers
    • 9th in Design and Technology
  • Design and Technology - Two students were nominated for DesignTECH, one student selected
  • Drama - Four students were nomonated for OnSTAGE 
  • Dance - One student was nominated for Call Backesign and Technology

These results and meritorious achievements are a tribute and testimony to the hard work of the students and their teachers, supported by their parents and families. We extend our very best wishes to all the graduating class of 2008 as they proceed to the next stage of their lives and careers.

Year 10

School Certificate

  • English:                      89% achieved Bands 4-6 compared to 77% of the State.
  • Mathematics:              79% achieved Bands 4-6 compared to 49% of the State
  • Science:                     86% achieved Bands 4-6 compared to 65% of the State
  • Australian Geography: 82% achieved Bands 4-6 compared to 65% of the State
  • Australian History:       64% achieved Bands 4-6 compared to 51% of the State

Year 9

 NAPLAN

  • Literacy:    72% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 48% of the State
  • Numeracy: 87% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 53% of the State

 Year 7

  • Literacy:    88% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 56% of the State
  • Numeracy: 91% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 58% of the State

Year 5

  • Literacy:    81% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 63% of the State
  • Numeracy: 77% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 52% of the State

Year 3

  • Literacy:    92% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 76% of the State
  • Numeracy: 81% of students achieved in the top 3 bands compared to 67% of the State
